1. Determine the total sales amount for the period you are analyzing.
2. Choose the two categories you want to compare and determine the sales amount for each category.
3. Divide the sales amount of one category by the other. This will give you the ratio.
4. Multiply the ratio by 100 to get a percentage. This percentage is the sales ratio between the two categories.
